We had an impromptu trip to Reddish Vale Country Park. My brother called me and asked if I felt like going for a bit of a mooch with the boys (it also meant that he could try out his new camera and lense). Obviously I agreed and me and the boys had never been here before so it was somewhere new to explore.
The weather was all over the place all day long. One minute it started raining, the next it was 20 odd degrees! We eventually decided to opt for wellies and I became the work horse carrying everyone’s coats as usual.
Reddish Vale Country Park
The country park has:
- A cafe
- River running through
- Beautiful places to walk through flowers, fields and paths
- Butterfly garden
We didn’t get round everything because Mylo didn’t nap on the way there so decided to show me how unhappy he was as soon as we stepped out the car. He soon perked up though.
Mylo was sporting his new Littlelife Spiderman backpack from Nevisport. This backpack has detachable reins so he can’t run too far away but he has enough freedom to not have to hold my hand.
We love the design of the backpack. We are big marvel fans so this backpack was ideal! They can store enough for lunch which is great because Mylo grazes all day so it’s handy to have his snacks to hand.
Like I said, the reins are detachable; which was a good job because this is how Mylo ended up when he knew that i had hold of him..
Apart from the rein on the backpack, Mylo loved it. He loved the way it strapped on at the front and that it felt secure once it was on. He obviously also loved the fact that he was carrying his own snacks!
You can find the LittleLife backpacks here.
So like I said, my brother came with us and he got to try out his new camera and lense. Leo makes taking photos so easy but Mylo is a challenge to say the least! My brother did a great job and some of the photos that he took are actually already in frames on my wall.
Here are some of the best photos from the day! I am super happy with them because they show our boys in their natural light. Learning through messy play and just generally being a child. The photos arent staged at all, they were all caught from around 3 metres plus away.
My brother has just graduated from university and he’s just getting set up with his social media for his photography business. Keep an eye on his website and social media for further updates and his availability.
You can find him over on his Instagram.
Website coming soon!
We vlogged our day and you can see from it how the photos were taken too like a behind the scenes! You can also see how our new backpack got on.
