A lot of people struggle when it comes to Mother’s Day, but let’s clear up one thing. Mums want something that can’t be taken by someone else. Mums share ALL the time, and we don’t particularly like sharing; particularly when it comes to snacks, treats and a bath/shower. For mother’s day we want to be a bit selfish and have a lie in, lots of cuddles and a gift that isn’t for anyone else. I’ve compiled a list of items that are JUST that! You’re welcome.
Glass bottle
Mums want to be healthy but when you’re running around after children all day it’s so hard to not just reach for that fizzy drink or that extra cup of coffee. Get mum something that she can use daily, is reusable, looks so damn grown up and isn’t for anyone else. Wakecup are an amazing brand who have reusable and sustainable principles at the forefront.
The bottle comes with a strainer and an infuser so you can put tea leaves, fruit, herbs etc. Whatever your liking for flavoured water is. When I use fruit I just take the infuser and strainer out so I can have more fruit in there.

Cheese board
We have quite a few Vonshef items in our house, one of them is this beautiful bamboo cheese board with knives included. A cheese board is what I have always been missing in the house and it’s lovely to have one as compact as this.
The board folds right up into itself, also hiding those knives out of sight from prying children. The knives that are included are; a cheddar knife, hard cheese knife and a cheese fork. All of them are made from stainless steel with easy grip wooden handles.

Lipstick
I have to say that as a mum I have only just gotten into the lipstick game now I’m in the later side of my 20’s. I think that I avoided it for so long because I just couldn’t find shades that suited my skin tone. As a pale woman and a blonde it gets hard to find that perfect shade.
The shade that I am wearing is the Playa liquid lipstick. It doesn’t seem to dry out my lips, and it dries matte. I think that’s where I was going wrong for so long because I always picked a shinier lipstick.
Spela cosmetics are vegan, non toxic and cruelty free which I love. I get all of my cosmetics, toiletries, moisturisers, face masks, bubble bath, shower gel etc from the body shop so it’s lovely to find another brand where I can purchase cosmetics and beauty supplies that hold the same principles.
The formulas are ultra pigmented so you can either use them for full coverage or blog them on for a light lip stain. Because the formula is a liquid lipstick you can also mix colours together and blend them to get the exact colour for you.

French press
I absolutely love love love coffee. 8 times out of 10 I will make myself a really nice coffee in the morning. Making a nice coffee means that I have to use my French press (which I enjoy!).
So far I have 3 French presses, this one, a wooden lidded one and one that does literally 1 cup. This French press is an 8 cup (they must measure in espresso size because this will give you 3 standard cups of coffee).

Cosmetic bag
Firstly, let me say that this bag is so deceiving. You will be amazed at how much it can hold. The bag itself is super versatile, lots of little pockets and perfect for travelling with.
There are enough brush compartments to hold 10 brushes, a zip pocket, 2 netted side pockets, 1 netted pocket in the lid and a big compartment in the middle. I use mine for my nail bag in my drawers. Nail varnish, acrylic powders, nail files, you name it it’s in there.

Key ring
This key ring is just beautiful! When it came through the post I instantly loved it and it went straight onto my keys. When ordering with Dolls and Dudes you can request whatever colours you like and personalise it to how you would like.
The key ring suits me perfectly and I’m absolutely made up with it. There are so many designs to choose from; everything down to the key ring clasp itself can be personalised.

Wooden photo mount
Next up we have a lovely wooden photo mount by Hartys. Isn’t it just beautiful! You can tell that love goes into each one that’s made, and they are also branded on the underneath. You can see how they brand their photo mounts on their Instagram profile.
The mounts are made from solid wood and can have whatever wording you require. They also make them in various sizes. I’ve found that this mount can hold 2 pictures or 1 big photo.
Isn’t it just beautiful though! I feel like I need more now to dot around the house!
