I have been asked a lot recently to do a blog and vlog on how to make slime without borax. Children absolutely love getting messy and you know how much messy play we get involved in. This is a really simple activity which only uses two ingredients!
Two ingredients – How to make slime without borax
Supermarket’s own Bio liquid detergent
&
PVA glue

Optional: glitter, food colouring, sequins, beads etc.
How making slime aids development:
- Communication & language – Using words in your vocabulary that you wouldn’t normally use every day; sticky, slimey, gooey etc
- Mathematics – volume and mixing, talking about consistencies and adding ingredients
- Sensory development – feeling the textures and using their senses of touch, smell, sight to become fully involved in the activity
- Expressive arts and design – being able to be creative and add additional resources as and when they would like to show their artistic development

Gubberloves
We were kindly sent two pairs of Gubberloves children’s gloves to try and I have to say that they didn’t disappoint.
They are just like adult washing up gloves but in a very small size! I haven’t seen any gloves like this before and they come in different designs too.
These are very good quality gloves and I can already tell that they will be with us for a while to come. I love that they do different designs too!

You can find Gubberloves on their website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.

Oh my kids would go CRAZY for this! They are obsessed with slime but we’ve never made our own! I am so going to try this! Thank you for joining us at #bigpinklink
Hi Jade, slime is fun! And your recipe is so simple too. If only my two were fifteen years younger I would have an excuse to get my hands mucky and have some slimy fun! Those Gubberlovs sound good too, no excuse for children not getting stuck into the dishes now.
Thank you for linking up with the #MMBC.
xx
Their excitement and yo8urs is cool
My oldest is so obsessed with slime. It makes me see red. I have cut it out of the carpet, cried over it being on my new couches and lost it over slime ruining new cclothes. My kids will hide it, hoard it and sleep with it if I dont stay on top of their slime addiction.
