It can be a mind field at times picking gifts for children, especially if they aren’t your children! So we’ve put together another gift guide for you. This is our gifts for 3 year olds! We have prints, busy bags, story spoons and more! Have a read and see what we have lined up!
Now I am a real sucker for anything personalised; and this print by Posterhaste is no different! Along the top line it has Mylo’s full name and at the bottom it has his date and time of birth and where he was born. Here’s the bets bit, the black and white circular print in the Centre is the constellation that was in the sky the moment he was born. How beautiful is that!
Our star map prints take pride of place in our living room:
Posterhaste have sent a few items for feature and you will be able to see more in our other round up posts; make sure that you check them out.
This star map print comes in at £20 which I don’t think is bad at all; and the frame is a good ol’ Asda £3 frame!
Another personalised item here for you guys. Sketchbooks, scrapbooks, notebooks, watercolour books and display books. Pink Pig kindly sent one to each of the boys and now they all have a beautiful pink pig personalised sketchbook each.
The paper inside is lovely and thick and perfect for the boys sketches. With it having a hardback it is also easier to keep in good condition and not having the corners roll down and ruin their artwork.
For a standard A4 sketchbook they start at £5.48, so perfect as a little gift!
These are not a usual book gift, but the story inside is lovely. These books are aiming to target new generation into learning about plastic waste and the harm it does to our animals and environment.
I have read these books a few times already with Leo who found them really interesting. We had a discussion around plastic waste and described what we had read on each page of the books. Leo was really intrigued to know more which is obviously the aim of the books.
Inside of the books look like this:
The Wild Tribe Heroes can be found on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I also know that they are currently expanding into schools and nurseries; so feel free to contact Ellie to learn more about supplying these books in your setting.
Now here’s an item I get super excited about! They are made of wood, encourage speech and interaction, are handmade, and are beautiful! Oh how I love story spoons! These will also be featuring in our wooden gifts for children post so keep an eye out for that one too!
Even though these spoons are in our 3 year old gifts roundup, they are suitable for both younger and older children too. Children love anything physical that goes alongside a story or nursery rhyme; that’s why these spoons are very popular. Storyprops also have story cubes, story pebbles and peg people; so there’s lots to choose from.
Here’s an item that I didn’t know existed until we attended BlogOn in Manchester. We got a sample of it in our goody bag and the boys loved it so we requested some sets to try out. The blocks are shaped like two plus signs hence the name PlusPlus!
It is so interesting to play with and I’ve found myself being pulled into it for a while too. I’m in the middle of making the helicopter on the front of the box! I think the instructions could be a bit simpler but they aren’t unreadable. The blocks are so versatile and you can really let your imagination run wild!
PlusPlus come in a range of different kits and we have a few more to show you in our other roundups! Have a look on their website to see their full range, there’s lots to choose from! Check out their Facebook page for offers.
Busy bags are amazing, as the name suggests, they keep your little ones busy for a short time! These busy bags are perfect for us with us doing home education as they keep Mylo busy while I do a bit of one to one with Leo, and visa versa.
This busy bag is £7.00 on A Little Bit Dotty’s website so perfect for a stocking filler too!
We have two big boxes of busy bags at home, most of them made by me or taken from games I’ve previously bought. We love busy bags, I don’t get why more people don’t use them! Perfect for settling the children down with while you have a much needed cuppa!

These items were sent in order to write this blog post. All images and opinions are that of my own.
