Fingerlings were rife at Christmas 2017 weren’t they! I was adamant that I wasn’t going to be pulled into the hype, just like I didn’t with the hatchimals. To be fair, there was absolutely no way you could get your hands on the fingerlings because they were out of stock as soon as it was replenished! How lucky are we that we get to unbox and review the new upgraded fingerlings and not forgetting the untamed version too!
I recently attended a blogging event in Manchester called BlogOn and have been numerous times before, this is where I found the fingerlings. I got to take them for a test drive whilst I was there and my initial impression was that Leo and Mylo would love them!
Fingerlings
Our fingerling is called Eddie, who Mylo instantly fell in love with (good job because the dinosaur was for Leo). The monkey is lovely, he’s very interactive and has quite a few tricks up his sleeves.
Untamed
Leo’s fingerling is part of the new untamed range, and is called Blaze. I must admit that it made me jump the first time I stroked its head and it roared at me! Obviously Leo thought it was hilarious!
What the boys thought
It took us a little while to work out the different actions (because I couldn’t find the instructions), but once you knew what to do they became best friends with their fingerlings. Mylo has developed a love/hate relationship with Blaze; sometimes he loves him and sometimes he’s scared to death. There isn’t really any in between with Mylo! But Mylo has really developed a love with Eddie. Leo on the other hand loves Blaze and loves to cradle him while he roars.
