If you have been pregnant before or know someone who has been then you understand the struggle of finding suitable footwear and shoes during pregnancy. Footwear in pregnancy is hard work, especially in the last trimester:
- Putting your shoes on is HARD
- Taking your shoes off is equally as hard!
- Swollen feet make everything feel uncomfortable
My go-to footwear when I am pregnant are my flip flops. They are easy to put on, easy to take off and aren’t restricting. However, sometimes you just need or want to wear some normal shoes. I mean, you can’t be strolling around in flip flops in the middle of December.
I have now found a product that makes my normal shoes feel comfortable. The arches in my feet are well supported (I don’t have big arches and I am close to flat footed) so it makes me feel much more comfy!
Insoles by Souls go inside shoes to make them feel more comfortable. I have tried them out for a couple of weeks to see if they really are as great as they tell me they are. It is safe to say that I love them. They now look a little discoloured because I have been wearing them in my pumps day in and day out.

Did you know?
- A third of all the bones in your body are in your feet?
That gives you 52 reasons to look after them, especially when you’re pregnant!
- In pregnancy, hormones often cause change in foot structure that can lead to permanently increased shoe size! Those hormones can even cause problems with pain in your knees, hips and back.
Souls insoles claim to protect against these changes to keep you fit and active during pregnancy.
- The hormonal changes during pregnancy cause the changes in your feet and make you more susceptible to suffer from muscles and joint pain in later life.
- A hormone called Relaxin is released by your body during pregnancy and it loosens all tendons and ligaments.
- The Relaxin in your feet causes your arches to fall and can cause your foot size to increase as much as a size!
Good things about Souls insoles
They fit in any shoes! I was skeptical at first but they really are comfortable, and you can feel the support in the arches of your feet. They feel like cushions in your shoes. I actually don’t like wearing my shoes without them now because they feel stiff and hard.
I actually haven’t come across any bad points with these insoles whilst using them. If I do then I will be sure to update this blog post with any negative factors that I may come across.
Overall
So now with the insoles by Souls you can wear whatever shoes you like without them hurting your feet. I won’t lie, you may still need some help getting your shoes on in the third trimester but you will be comfy wearing them!

Don’t worry about it, Kevin has had to help me get my shoes on and off all the time throughout my third trimester in each pregnancy!
