Welcome to our community on Instagram! I love Instagram and I love seeing all of your photos in the roundup!
The #rawchildhood community on Instagram is for you to link up any child related photos!
We now have over 2.8k link ups!
I am looking for those raw childhood moments; with or without filters; children enjoying the rain and mud; exploring with food and colours.. I am also looking for those raw moments when you think “should I really post this?” YES! post that picture of your child on the floor in Tesco because you wouldn’t buy a surprise egg or when your child is pulling the death stare.. I love those photos! It’s your child’s personality, let’s celebrate it!
I guess what I am trying to say is let’s get back to basics. The raw childhood!
Let’s all try to be a great little community! Follow each other, make friends and share! #rawchildhood
I will be picking my favourite posts for the month and doing my roundup; these will then get shared across my social media accounts!
Here are my favourites from last month:
At least they packed the essentials, right?
We are on a family holiday in the French Alps – and by “family” I mean all of my family are here together. It’s brilliant. All the cousins on my side making mischief and lots of fab memories made. Even my parents’ puppy has joined us …. and my kids just LOVE his travel crate ?? it’s quite useful for toddler containment at times ?- always instigated by them of course – it’s their favourite game!! I love this one by @fivelittlestars05 it really did make me laugh the first time that I saw it! Kids get into anything and everything and this is such a fun picture to look back on! At least the essentials are packed though?
It’s a different face kind of day
This one by @Shantenei is just great. Look at that face, it is just fab! Great to see the really simple activities are still the winners by the children!
Let there be mess!
// Let there be mess // Oh what fun Marley’s first messy play was!! The lesson – let go and let live. Mess is fun. Stains can be washed off (thanks to trusted Vanish). Most random things in mouth won’t hurt. In fact a bit of dirt is good. The other side of these pictures was an awful journey home due to a road closure, rush hour and redirected traffic and very tired and hungry baby ? oh my, s-t-r-e-s-s-f-u-l!!! But we made it to bed eventually!! ? And we will live to laugh about it and remember the good bits, like Marley’s first pieces of ‘art’ that will soon grace our fridge door (of course).
This one by @marley_and_us just reminds me why I started this community. We are serious about messy play in our house and it’s so great to see other parents embracing it too!
Cardboard painting outdoors
I have to admit that messy play and sensory play are my favourite kind of photos! They are one of my weak spots for sure. This one by @kerrymconway is just a lovely shot, and as she mentioned, messy play is never that idyllic even though it comes across as such in the photos sometimes!
Excitement for the good ol’ tree climbing!
What is better than climbing a tree? They love it, and it comes across perfectly in this photo by @itsagingerbreadlife, I mean look at the excitement in his face! If that isn’t enough to encourage you to let your child climb trees then I don’t know what is!
Mondays are definitely better with chocolate
Doesn’t this photo just make you seriously want some chocolate right now?! They always get chocolate everywhere don’t they, and yes it’s a bugger to clean but you get some good shots out of it at least! This photo is by @victoria1746 demonstrates that perfectly! And I agree, mondays are definitely better with chocolate!
Just facetiming my best friend
This post by @mamawillmot just melts my heart. The bond between a boy and a dog can be unbreakable! This little one even wanted to just watch his best friend eating his food, now that’s friendship right there! My boys love our dog, Leo especially, and this just reminded me of him so much.
Bath time bonding
With our 2 girls, we have a 3 year 3 month age gap and whilst in some ways it’s been a big help, we have struggled with finding activities they can both enjoy together now Aria wants to play too. Sienna loves lego, but Aria just pulls it apart, Sienna loves colouring, but Aria either eats the crayons or rips up the paper! Bath time is the one thing they both seem to enjoy so it’s becoming an enjoyable part of our day. They are such mermaids and both love the water and splashing in bubbles. They are always pretending to mix potions or do each other’s hair. JOHNSON’S Top-to-toe is proven to be as safe and gentle as water alone and the NO MORE TEARS formula is mild to the eyes so it’s something else they can both enjoy together. #Welcometotheworld #Johnsonsbaby #AD
I really like this one by @kerrymconway. I have to say that my boys are exactly the same, they can be like chalk and cheese at times! But I have to admit that bath time is a real great time for bonding, although because my boys are swimmers they always try and dunk each other under the water!
I would love for you to join my community and help it grow even more!
Let’s celebrate our children whilst they are still children!
I will see you all again next month.
