We all struggle as parents to find gifts that are suitable for children of certain ages. I have compiled a list of some toys and games that are perfect presents for 2 year olds. From wooden toys and bikes to bubble machines and crafts we’ve got you covered! 2 year old gift ideas coming right up!
Wall Climbing Car
This car is absolutely fab, both the boys enjoyed playing with it! It drives around the walls and ceiling by a fan using suction so it doesn’t fall off.
The remote takes 6 AA batteries and the car is charged by the remote.
My only complaint is that it doesn’t last as long as we would like it to and the batteries run out quite quickly.
The wall climbing car currently retails at £16.99 which I think is a decent price for a remote control car, nevermind one that climbs walls!
You can find this wall climbing car here.
What child doesn’t love bubbles? In fact what person doesn’t like bubbles? I love bubbles! This bubble machine is great, can you believe that this is the first bubble machine that we have had. We’ve always wanted to get one but never got round to buying one.
The bubble machine came with a tub of bubbles, and we went through them quite quickly!
This bubble machine retails at £9.99 which is about an average price and you can find it here.
We all want a present that’s a craft. This boxhead is so easy to use and you literally take it out the wrapper and all you need are colouring pens then you’re away!
The boxhead retails at £8 each or two for £14 which I think is great for a craft that can keep the boys busy for an afternoon!
This toddlebike is fab! I wanted to get Mylo a balance bike for his birthday but with him being so small I couldn’t find one that was for his size. Then toddlebike got in touch and I thought it was a great idea! As soon as Mylo came down in the morning he was obsessed with the toddlebike straight away! Obviously the only way to ride your bike is without pants!
Not only has Mylo enjoyed scooting around on it, but Leo has been zooming around on it too! Leo is smaller for his age so this actually fit him too!
The toddlebike comes in Midnight Blue, Pinky Pink and Racing Red. The Toddlebike retails at £23.95 which is very reasonable for a main present! Absolutely fab for a 2 year old gift!
Balancing Frog Wooden Game
I am a sucker when it comes to wooden toys for children because we try and follow the Montessori approach in our home. This is a simple game that concentrates on children’s hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and balance. Every parent loves a children’s game that also encourages learning.
This balancing frog game retails at just £5.99! You can see for yourself here. I couldn’t honestly believe the price, the item is on the smaller side but perfect for a quick game or 3. It is even perfect for packing when going on holiday because it doesn’t take much room. Perfect for a 2 year old gift.
I absolutely love this! We are all about sensory and messy play at our house so this touch memo is a welcome addition to the boys collection! The touch memo has different surfaces containing various materials to train the tactile perception for children within the early years.
Both of my boys have enjoyed using this. As well as using it as a sensory activity, the boys also loved using it to build towers!
I can see me being a regular at Dodo & Bilby because their wooden toys are just fab and are very well made.
You can find the Touch Memo here where it retails at just £11.99.
